Peoria Police Officer Arrested For Domestic Battery

A Peoria police officer was arrested yesterday on domestic battery charges.

26-year-old probationary officer Larry A. Pearson-Bowell is charged with aggravated domestic battery and interfering reporting domestic violence.

According to a news release from the Peoria Police Department … officers responded to a call in the 3400 block of Baskin Ridge around 1 p.m. The male caller identified himself as a Peoria Police Officer and claimed he was having trouble with a female. He said he’d been assaulted and was bleeding from the head.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with both parties involved. Pearson-Boswell was booked into Peoria County Jail.

The department said he’s been placed on paid administrative leave.

Illinois State Police will handle the investigation.
