If you’ve driven by the Four Corners in downtown East Peoria lately, you’ve probably noticed a new bright spot.
Becks Florist, on the corner of Main and East Washington, was recently repainted from beige to an eye-catching shade of yellow.
The new paint job on the prominent building has generated a lot of buzz in the city.
A manager at Becks told a Peoria Public Radio reporter that the business plans to have a large mural painted on the building’s west side, facing towards Main.
The manager declined to describe the mural in any detail because its concept is planned as a surprise for the community by the owner, but said the artist has prepared sketches of the final artwork and will start on it in the next few days.
