The East Peoria Police Department will move operations to its new headquarters on Camp Street beginning Monday morning.

The switch is set for 8 a.m., with public services moving over from the current location on Washington Street.

Construction of the $21.6 million two-story station at 500 W. Camp St. started in December 2024. The new building has more than 40,000 square feet of functional space, with upgraded technology and a dedicated community room.

All next week, anyone needing police services and records assistance can go to either location. Beginning June 29, police services will no longer be available at the Washington Street station.

Public tours of the new facility and a ribbon-cutting ceremony are planned for a later date.
