A man wanted in connection with a Detroit hit-and-run accident was taken into custody in Peoria Thursday.
26-year-old Dominique A. Amos was located in the 2700 block of West Hedgehill Lane.
He was taken into custody at 2:45 p.m. by members of the police department’s Target Offender Unit working in conjunction with the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force.
Amos was wanted in Oakland County, Michigan, in connection with a hit-and-run of a 12-year-old boy. Amos is being held in the Peoria County Jail awaiting extradition to Michigan.
