One Arrested In Connection with Labor Day Weekend Shooting

Peoria police have made an arrest in connection with a Labor Day Weekend shooting. 22-year old Jamal J. Younger was arrested Monday afternoon for First Degree Murder in the death of Jordan Allison.

The 21-year-old Peoria resident died early September 2 following a shooting near the intersection of Archer and Peoria Street. An autopsy showed Allison died from a single gunshot wound to the upper back.

 

Jamal Younger was taken into custody in the 700 block of Northeast Adams by the Peoria Police Target Offender Unit. Younger was taken to the Peoria County Jail, where records list his address as homeless. Younger had previously lived in Pekin.

 

The case remains under investigation by the Peoria Police Department.
