A motorcycle operator died early Wednesday after a crash involving a second vehicle on the south side of Pekin.
Preliminary information from the Illinois State Police indicates the motorcycle collided with an SUV around 5 a.m. at the intersection of 5th Street and Illinois Route 9, or Veterans Drive.
According to a social media post by Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley, 50-year-old Dennis Kenser Jr. of rural Manito died at the scene. Hanley said Kenser was the driver and sole occupant of the motorcycle
The incident remains under investigation.
