Kickapoo Creek Road is open again in Peoria County.
The road has been closed since a massive rock slide on May 31st. Boulders, earth and trees blocked traffic between Harmon Highway and Bartonville.
County Engineer Amy McLaren says it was bigger than anything county crews are equipped to handle. Stark Excavating handled the debris removal and stabilization of the bluff.
It cost $71,500 to get Kickapoo Creek Road re-opened.
