Peoria Police are investigating the first homicide of the year. 22-year-old Kamry Harris was shot and died Wednesday about 2:00 p.m. in the front passenger seat of a car, inside a garage, in the 2000 block of West Malone. He lived on Columbia Terrace. Police initially responded to a call at 12:56 p.m. in the 1900 block of West Starr, on a report of a man-down bleeding in the alley.
A second unnamed shooting victim was found on the same side of the 2000 block of West Malone where Harris was found. That victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
