Bradley University student Zakery Haubrich, 21, was one of the two victims identified in Monday night's fatal crash.
In an email sent out to the campus Tuesday morning, Bradley's Interm President Stan Liberty says the senior business major "would be missed by all." Liberty says flags on campus will fly at half-staff for three days to honor his memory.
Haubrich was a member of the Bradley Jazz Ensemble and the Bradley Symphonic Winds. He was also involved with the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity, Hilltop Studios, and Musicians in Business.
Haubrich was heading westbound on U-S Route 24 headed to Quincy for the holidays when another vehicle struck his car head-on. Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll says both were pronounced dead at the scene at 6:12pm.
The other driver is identified as 55-year-old Rhonda Brooks from Peoria.
Ingersoll says an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday and results will be made public this afternoon.
