Caterpillar says it’s laying off 50 more employees at its East Peoria plant at the end of the month. The move follows the indefinite layoff of 120 workers last week at the same facility. Cat says the worker reductions are needed to further bring production in line with demand. This is the third group of layoffs at the East Peoria facility this year. The company laid off 100 other people at the plant in January.
