Peoria Council weighs-in on food truck issue

The Peoria City Council weighed-in on a proposed food truck ordinance last night.  The council discussed reducing annual fees to operate, recycling requirements and limiting the number of food trucks. Peoria Mayor Jim Ardis also referenced a famous T.V. show when expressing concerns about how the trucks should look:

“I’m saying if we don’t have a level of what we expect, we end up with the Beverly Hillbillies possum and vittles.”

A revised ordinance heads back to the council next month.  In other business, the council will consider a measure to allow the Uber taxi service to operate in the city next month.
