Midwest Food Bank gets $5,500 from Altria

An international company is giving $5,500 to the Peoria Midwest Food Bank.  Altria Group Incorporated is giving the funds to help pay for fuel and operating expenses for the facility. Midwest Food Bank Director Larry Herman says the local demand for food is consistent year-round:

“Every month there’s approximately $1.5 million worth of products going to the community for free, in-need.”

The donation check was presented by state Representative Dave Leitch.
