Nearly 800 people attended the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce 39th Annual Community Thanksgiving Luncheon at the Civic Center Thursday.
Bernie Koch delivered words of community thanks. He’s the president of River City Construction, and he and his wife are chairing this year’s Peoria United Way campaign.
Koch says there are a lot of great things going on in the Peoria Community. “And for those who are less fortunate there is a great safety net, with all of our local health and social service agencies that are out there right now.”
The South Side Office of Concern received the Community Wealth Award and Meredith Bunch of Midstate College received the ATHENA Leadership Award.
OSF Dr. Teresa Lynch was named the ATHENA Young Professional Award winner and the Tom Conner Service Award went to Michael Quine.
