Caterpillar is reporting improved third quarter results. The company’s profit per share of $1.63 was an increase of more than 15-cents year over year. Sales and revenues were also up to about $13.55 billion dollars.
In a statement, Caterpillar CEO Doug Oberhelman says the company continues to focus on cost management and operational execution as world economic growth remains slow.
Caterpillar expects full-year earnings to be $6.00 per share, with revenue expected to be $55 billion. That is an improvement from the previous outlook of $5.75 per share, with revenue expected to be between $54 to $56 billion.
