Some well-known comics are coming together to help raise money for a Richard Pryor statue in Peoria.
Cedric “The Entertainer”, D.L. Hughley, Eddie Griffin, George Lopez and Mike Epps will perform at the Peoria Civic Center November 2nd to honor Pryor.
The event is called, “A Night for Richard” and is expected to benefit the effort to erect a seven-and-a-half foot bronze statue of Pryor by local artist Preston Jackson. The statue is to be unveiled at the end of this year.
Tickets go on sale for the comedy show next Wednesday at 10 a.m.
