Bustos weighs-in on healthcare glitches

President Barack Obama Monday said there was ‘no sugarcoating’ the online computer bugs following the launch of his health care law.  Congresswoman Cheri Bustos says more time is needed before fixing the glitches that people encounter during the enrollment process:

“When you look at the fact that there are tens of millions of uninsured Americans, and this is a program that had to collect a lot of data, it’s offered in all 50 states.  And it’s a pretty tough computer program to write where there’s not going to be any glitches,” Bustos says.

Bustos, a Democrat, made her comments during a stop at the newly-built Heddington Oaks senior nursing facility in West Peoria.  She also says seniors need to be aware that Medicare enrollment and signing up for national healthcare are two different programs.  She says the close time overlap for enrollment might cause confusion for people looking to sign up for both programs
