Singer Patti LaBelle is the key note speaker for the 2017 Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Annual Luncheon in Peoria. It’s the 25th year for the MLK Luncheon but this is the first year it will be followed by a concert.
The event is sponsored by Public Employees for Community Concerns.
Doors will open at 9:30 for the January 16th event at the Peoria Civic Center, lunch will begin at 10:45 with LaBelle slated to speak on how King impacted her life and career. LaBelle will offer a concert immediately after in the Civic Center Arena from 12:30 to 1:30.
Tickets for the luncheon and concert are available for purchase online at mlkluncheon.com and at Peoria City Hall.
Tickets for the concert only will be available starting Friday morning at 11:00 at the Toyota Box Office or Ticketmaster.com.
