Bartonville man dies in weekend car crash in Missouri

A Peoria County man is dead after a weekend crash in Camden County, Missouri.

According to a traffic crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 54-year-old man from Bartonville died in what’s described as a single-vehicle crash around 2 a.m. Saturday.

The man’s identity has not been released.

According to the report, the driver “failed to negotiate a curve” and the vehicle went off the road, struck a tree and overturned. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by Camden County Medical Examiner Drew Hall shortly after 2 a.m.

Camden County is near the Ozarks region of central Missouri.

No additional information about the deceased man or the crash has been released at this time.
