A man arrested in Chicago was wanted by the Peoria Police Department in connection with a 2024 shooting.

According to Peoria Police, Bryan Vann was located with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service and arrested at a Chicago residence Tuesday without incident. Vann is a suspect in the July 2024 death of Quinterius Evans.

Vann was charged with first-degree murder in November 2024.

In 2024, officers responded to two back-to-back ShotSpotter alerts in the 2500 block of West Garden, with a total of 20 rounds fired.

They found Evans with multiple gunshot wounds in the road. He died from his injuries.

Police say investigation of the case remains ongoing.
