The Bradley University men’s basketball team is on its way to the quarterfinals of the National Invitation Tournament.

Corey Thomas and Christian Davis both scored 21 points to lead the No. 3 seed Braves to a 75-67 win over second-seeded host George Mason on Saturday in Fairfax, Va.

Bradley improved its record to 28-8 ahead of Tuesday's 6 p.m. matchup with unseeded Chattanooga (26-9) at Carver Arena. The winner will advance to the NIT semifinals April 1 in Indianapolis.

Thomas added 11 rebounds for the Braves, while Davis connected on 5 of 8 shots from 3-point range. Bradley shot 49.1% from the field (26-53) and made 13 of 29 attempts from beyond the arc.

Chattanooga reached the quarterfinals by defeating region top seed Dayton, 87-72. It was the second straight upset for the Mocs, who opened their NIT run with a 109-103 triple-overtime victory over No. 4 seed Middle Tennessee on Tuesday.

Bradley beat North Alabama, 71-62, in its first-round game Wednesday.
