Tazewell sheriff’s office seeks man connected with shooting incident

The Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public's help in locating a 21-year-old man wanted for questioning in a weekend shooting.

Deputies responded to the Hopedale Medical Complex on Sunday afternoon after a 23-year-old woman was dropped off at the emergency room with a single gunshot wound to her shoulder.

She was later transferred to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, where she is in stable condition.

The sheriff’s office has identified Kaden Mcvey as the man who dropped the victim off. He was last seen on video driving away from the hospital in a silver 2011 Nissan Versa hatchback.

Mcvey is described as 6-foot-2, 160 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes. The vehicle’s license plate is BG23343.
