According to a news release from the Peoria Police Department, Christopher R. Richerson, 52, is wanted for aggravated battery and attempted murder in Tazewell County.

He’s described as a 52-year-old white male, about 6 feet tall, and 240 pounds.

Police said they found Richerson’s vehicle unoccupied Thursday in the 4400 block of North Carola Street in northwest Peoria.

Peoria Police searched the surrounding wooded area with the help of the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit and a police drone, but were unable to find him.
