Bond set at $1.5M for Peoria man charged with teen's murder

Bond is set at $1.5 million for the man charged with the murder of a 15-year-old Peoria boy last week.

18-year-old Erick Jackson is charged with first degree murder, aggravated battery, and criminal trespass to a vehicle in the shooting incident which led to the death of Merian Smith, and the injury of another youth.

Smith was the city's 23rd homicide victim of 2022.
