Multiple house fires injured two Peoria firefighters Monday night.

Fire crews responded to the 1600 block of West Lincoln just after 8:30 p.m. Less than 15 minutes later, crews were called to the 1500 block of Easton for another fire.

One firefighter at each location suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The boarded-up vacant home was deemed a total loss and an emergency demolition was ordered.

Two occupants safely escaped one of two heavily damaged adjacent structures on Easton. The second home was vacant. The origin of the Easton blaze remains under investigation.

An emergency demolition was ordered for one of the homes on Easton.

Both fires are now under investigation as arson, according to Peoria Fire Chief Shawn Sollberger. Anyone with information on the fires is asked to call lead arson investigator Josh Harris at (309) 494-8726.
