Police investigating Eureka man's shooting death in North Valley

Peoria police are investigating the city's 16th homicide of 2022.

Officers responded Saturday to a report of shots fired and a man shot in the 500 block of Spring Street.

The man became unresponsive on scene and couldn't be revived. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood later identified the victim as 35-year-old Nathan Belcher of Eureka. He was shot multiple times.

There is no suspect information available.
