Peoria Police are investigating after two people were found dead Thursday in a Central Peoria home.
Officers responded around 12:41 p.m. to the home in the 500 block of West Lawndale Avenue, near Sheridan Road, police said. They found a man and a woman with apparent gunshot wounds inside the home. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Their names and causes of death have not been released.

The incident represents the 13th and possibly 14th homicide of the year in Peoria, according to a WCBU tally.
