Peoria police are investigating the city's fifth homicide of 2022.
Officers responded to the 100 block of Beverly Court on an eight-round ShotSpotter alert just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Police arriving found an adult man shot and lying in the road at the above address. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood on Wednesday afternoon identified the victim as Timothy Foreman, Jr., 40, of Peoria. Autopsy results are pending.
No arrests have been made. Suspect information wasn't immediately available.
