$1M bond set for Peoria woman charged in Saturday homicide

A gavel rests on a judge's bench in a blurry courtroom. The text "WCBU Courts" sits on top of that photo.

Bond is set at $1 million for a Peoria woman charged with the murder of a 21-year-old woman Saturday.

Kaitlyn Taylor, 24, was charged in the shooting death of 21-year-old Mariah Moss on South Sterling Avenue, near the Madison Golf Course.

This is the 11th recorded homicide in the city of Peoria this year, and one of two murders reported in the city over the Independence Day weekend.

Taylor must post $100,000 for bail from the Peoria County Jail.
