Global firm applies to develop wind farm in Peoria County

Repsol Renewables has applied for a special use allowance for its Four Creeks Wind Project, seeking to install approximately 113 turbines across an area north of Brimfield and west of Princeville, extending to the Knox and Stark county lines.

Peoria County currently does not have any wind farms, but that may change in the coming years. In February, Houston-based energy developer ConnectGen was issued three temporary meteorological tower permits to collect data on the viability of a Four Creeks wind farm project in Millbrook Township.
