The Tazewell County clerk’s office is making it easier to find information in certain historical documents by using artificial intelligence.

A new program available in Tazewell County offers a way to protect notaries from fraudulent use of their legal stamps. The Notary Fraud Alert system from Fidlar Technologies is a free addition to the county’s existing suite of property fraud protection services from the Iowa-based company.

The delay stems from an ongoing statewide court case involving Republican gubernatorial candidate Joseph Severino. He is appealing a decision by the Illinois State Board of Elections not to certify his candidacy for the primary ballot.
