Galena Road Industrial Park

A planned $40 million industrial park along Galena Road in Peoria is getting some state funding to move the project forward.

The Riverview Plaza tower in Downtown Peoria has been shuttered for more than two years, as the city pushes the building owner to fix the fire suppression, sprinkler and electrical systems. City Manager Patrick Urich said Peoria is doing everything within its power to see the building brought into code compliance.

Three Peoria infrastructure projects could get about $4 million in funding assistance through requests by the area’s representatives in the U.S. House.
