Chicago State Students Staying in a Hotel After Pipe Bursts

Chicago State University officials say students are staying in hotels after a residence hall pipe burst and the building has no heat or hot water.

A notice from the school says the pipe burst on Friday, affecting the residence hall and student union building. The school is running a shuttle between the hotels and classrooms while crews restore heat and hot water to the affected buildings.

Interim President Rachel Lindsey said in a campus notice that the school will "work diligently to resolve this problem" and minimize inconveniences to faculty, staff and students.
