Next year, Illinois could have one of the most expensive gubernatorial campaigns the country has ever seen. New campaign filings show a better picture of how the candidates are doing when it comes to raising money.

Leading the Democratic pack is JBPritzker - who spent more than $9 million in the last three months - much of it on media

He has said he planned to spend only his own money on the campaign.

Unlike Pritzker, State Sen. Daniel Biss did actually raise money from donors. About a million bucks.

Chris Kennedy raised $700,000 and spent almost all of it. Chicago Alderman Ameya Pawar raised $139,000, and State Representative Scott Drury netted $66,000.

Meantime - Republican incumbent Gov. Bruce Rauner raised $20 million in one lump sum from billionaire Ken Griffin.

Rauner now has $67 million in his campaign account.
