Pritzker Officially Running for Governor

twitter/JB Pritzker

J. B. Pritzker is officially running for Illinois governor.  He joins what’s turning into a crowded field of Democrats who are hoping to take on Republican Governor Bruce Rauner.  At a rally kicking off his campaign - Pritzker offered this explanation.

"You want to know why I’m running for governor? Because everything we care about is under siege by Donald Trump and Bruce Rauner."

In response - the Illinois GOP emailed supporters, calling Pritzker a pawn of House Speaker Michael Madigan.  Pritzker is a venture capitalist and Forbes ranks him as one of the richest people in the world.

Other Democrats running for governor include:  Chicago Alderman Ameya Pawar, State Senator Daniel Biss, former Merchandise Mart President Chris Kennedy, and downstate schools superintendent Bob Daiber.
