Citizens from countries targeted by President Donald Trump’s executive order last week don’t know whether they should travel to the U.S. or not.
Over the weekend, travelers were detained at O'Hare airport.
This follows the President’s executive order placing a temporary ban of citizens from seven majority Muslim countries from entering the U.S.
Travelers were eventually released after a federal judge in New York put a hold on the order.
Immigration attorney Michael Jarecki represents a Syrian man who was supposed to fly to Chicago on Saturday, but postponed his plans.
Jarecki says the judge’s hold doesn’t guarantee anything.
"We don’t know if it’s broad enough to stop provision such that anyone can travel with a valid visa or immigrant visa going forward," Jarecki said.
Jarecki says greater legal action and more information from the White House is needed.
