Faculty members at Quincy University in western Illinois have presented the school's trustees with a 'no confidence' vote in President Robert Gervasi. The action deals with the Catholic liberal arts university's financial challenges.
Quincy University board of trustees vice chairman Del Mitchell says trustees will work with Gervasi and executive leaders "to find ways to make prudent financial decisions."
Gervasi says he will "continue to work with the board and go from there." Gervasi took-over the nearly 1,200-student school in June 2008.
The school announced earlier this year that it would cut it's $25 million budget by $1.75 million. Gervasi said that was needed due to state budget cuts.
