Protesters take police shooting issue to mayors' conference

A protester attempting to draw attention to the death of a teenager at the hands of Chicago police disrupted a U.S. Conference of Mayors news conference in Washington.

Protester April Goggans stood silently holding up a sign decrying the death of Laquan McDonald, while another protester shouted "Black Lives Matter" from the back of the room.

Goggans held a sign saying "16 shots and a coverup. #LaquanMcDonald, #ResignRahm."

Despite Goggans' refusal to leave, conference president, Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, continued the news conference.
