Provost at Minn. school named Illinois Wesleyan president

The provost of a university in Minnesota has been named the new president of Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington.

Hamline University provost Eric Jensen will take the job, replacing Dick Wilson who is retiring next month. Jensen was selected after a nationwide search.

While at Hamline, Jensen's responsibilities included oversight of student affairs and creating the university budget with the school's chief financial officer.

Hamline is a private school in St. Paul, Minnesota, with about 4,900 students. He also worked at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, for 30 years.
