Chicago residents rally against Charlie Hebdo attack

Chicagoans are joining the outcry over last week’s attack on the French magazine Charlie Hebdo. More than 200 people gathered Sunday in Daley Plaza holding pens and chanting “we are Charlie” in french.

Cecile Dagaro teaches French at the University of Chicago.
"Personally I would have gone to Paris to show my support, so I guess today it made sense to come here to be with French people and people from everywhere actually, and support freedom of speech and be together."

At the same time Sunday, more than a million people rallied in Paris. They were responding to attacks in France that killed 17 people.
