Care for cancer patients is expanding, from a focus on the cancer itself, to the after-effects that patients experience due to cancer and its treatment.
The STAR Program is a cancer rehab program offered by many hospitals and clinics including OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington. Illinois Public Radio's Jim Meadows spoke with St. Joseph physical therapist Stephanie Dotson about their services.
In Illinois, the STAR program is also available in Normal, Springfield, and in the Peoria, Chicago and St. Louis metro areas.
