Michelle Obama campaigns on behalf of Gov. Quinn

First Lady Michelle Obama made a quick stop in Chicago Tuesday to help out a fellow Democrat - Illinois Governor Pat Quinn.
Michelle Obama’s first order of business was raising money for Governor Quinn’s competitive re-election campaign. Then she addressed enthusiastic supporters at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, saying the competitive governor’s race is personal to her since she’s from Illinois.

"If we want a governor who shares our values and is gonna fight for our families, then we need to work day and night to re-elect Pat Quinn," said Obama.

Obama didn’t mention Quinn’s Republican opponent, Bruce Rauner, by name.

Rauner has had prominent GOP politicians, like New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, fundraise for his campaign.
