Congressman Davis points out recent accomplishments

Criticism about a 'do-nothing' congress doesn't sit well with a member from central Illinois. Rodney Davis says despite pundits calling attention to what might be an historic low for approving laws, this congress can point to some key accomplishments.
"I think we have addressed some very major issues in the last few months. We've been able to, just a few months ago, pass a long term farm bill that was held up because of political partisan purposes."

And that's not all he says.  Davis goes on to point out a water infrastructure package, changes to the VA administration and a temporary extension for the federal highway trust fund have also happened.

Davis, a Republican from Taylorville, is seeking a second term representing Illinois' 13th District. He blames the Democrat-controlled Senate for failing to get more done. Democrat Ann Callis of Edwardsville is running against Davis this fall.
