Joey is a lifelong McLean County resident and a 2004 graduate of Illinois State University. Joey was active in his years as an ISU Redbird working for both the student run radio and television stations on campus. He also served as the first Communication lifestyle Resident Assistant in the department of University Housing. Joey started his post college career at Peoria's WTVP Television working in various roles as a production assistant, editor and member of the mobile production crew. After five years at WTVP, Joey went on to work in freelance production roles throughout Central Illinois. He later accepted a more permanent role as the Communication & Technology Director at the LeRoy Christian Church in his hometown of Le Roy, IL. Joey served several roles under that title including managing audio/visual support, supervising the production crew, creating weekly newsletters as well as managing the church's social media platforms and website. After 8 years, Joey stepped down from that role to seek out a change in his professional environment which led him back to public media. Joey is happy to be returning to his roots in public broadcasting and serving the communities of central Illinois. Joey is an avid Cubs and ISU Redbird sports fan and he can be seen on the country music concert trail in his spare time. He currently resides in LeRoy and enjoys traveling as well as spending quality time with his family and friends.

Longtime listeners recognize Jacki Lyden's voice from her frequent work as a substitute host on NPR. As a journalist who has been with NPR since 1979, Lyden regards herself first and foremost as a storyteller and looks for the distinctive human voice in a huge range of national and international stories. She is the current Weekend All Things Considered host.

Dana Farrington is a digital editor coordinating online coverage on the Washington Desk — from daily stories to visual feature projects to the weekly newsletter. She has been with the NPR Politics team since President Trump's inauguration. Before that, she was among NPR's first engagement editors, managing the homepage for NPR.org and the main social accounts. Dana has also worked as a weekend web producer and editor, and has written on a wide range of topics for NPR, including tech and women's health.

Isabela Nieto is a statehouse reporter for WBEZ. She started out at the station in 2025 as their statehouse reporting intern, as part of the University of Illinois at Springfield’s Public Affairs Reporting masters program. She rejoined WBEZ in February 2026, moving to Springfield, IL with her cat Petra.

Meghan Keane is the founder and managing producer for NPR's Life Kit, which brings listeners advice and actionable information about personal finances, health, parenting, relationships and more. She is responsible for the editorial vision of Life Kit, which aims to serve NPR's larger mission of public service.
