The Tri-County region reported five more COVID-19 deaths and 151 new cases on Tuesday.
People who died include a Peoria County woman in her 30s with comorbidities, and a woman in her 60s. In Tazewell County, a man in his 60s, a man in his 80s, and a woman in her 90s died after contracting the virus.
Currently, there are 143 patients hospitalized for COVID-19 in Peoria-area hospitals -- down 14 patients from Monday.
Of those infected with COVID-19 in the Tri-County region, 95% are considered recovered; 3% are isolating, and a .25% are hospitalized.
