One person was killed and another injured in a shooting late Friday outside a Peoria gas station. The injured man was later arrested on murder charges.
The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. near the Peoria One Stop gas station at 3203 SW Adams, Peoria Police said. ShotSpotter alerts indicated around 24 rounds were fired in that area, police said.
One man was pronounced dead at the hospital. He was not identified.
A second man, Marvin M. Sanders, 31, suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from the hospital. He was later arrested on preliminary murder charges, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.

Friday's shooting was at least the fourth homicide investigated by Peoria Police in 2021.
Second shooting
Peoria Police are also investigating an earlier shooting that happened several blocks north of the gas station incident. It's unclear if they are connected.
This other shooting happened around 8:15 p.m., police said. ShotSpotter alerts indicated around 10 rounds were fired.
One man was shot in the neck and taken to the hospital with serious injuries. No one is in custody.
This incident is under investigation.
