Bradley University President Gary Roberts speaks at Friday's Convergence Center dedication.

Bradley University’s new $100 million Business and Engineering Convergence Center was officially dedicated Friday.

The new convergence center houses the Foster College of Business and Caterpillar College of Engineering and Technology. Faculty and staff are currently moving into the building.

Bradley University President Gary Roberts spoke at Friday’s dedication.

“Both colleges are now going to be in a state-of-the-art facility that will enable them to provide an educational experience for our students that is second to none," he said.

Classes are set to start in the new building soon.

Planning for the new building started over 3 years ago. The business college has been housed in a strip mall in Campustown, while the engineering college has remained in Jobst Hall.

Jobst Hall will be demolished to make way for parking. WCBU will move to Morgan Hall on the Bradley campus.
