A woman was fatally shot on Peoria's South Side in the city's 20th homicide of 2019.
The Peoria Police Department responded to Griswold and Starr around 12:20 p.m. Sunday on a report of a large fight.
Police found a woman in her mid-20s with a gunshot wound to her head. Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood pronounced Jaylin Williams, 24, dead at the scene.
Peoria Police Public Information Officer said Denise Williams, 25, was later arrested for first degree murder. Montaye Phifer, 30, was also arrested for unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.
The incident is under investigation.
