A 55-year-old Pekin woman is dead after her motorized scooter was struck by a vehicle on Saturday night.
Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley said Jennifer Shindledecker was riding the scooter in the roadway in the 1500 block of Willow St. just after 9 p.m. when she was struck by a vehicle.
She was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:40 p.m.
The Pekin Police Department, Tazewell County Sheriff's Office and Tazewell County Coroner's Office are investigating.
