Bradley University said the new $100 million Convergence Center won't begin hosting classes until the middle of the fall semester.
Originally, the university had planned business and engineering classes to begin in the new building at the beginning of the fall 2019 semester.
"Approximately seven weeks are required to address activities that include setting up labs, offices, classrooms and installation of state of the art technology. These activities will be accomplished as the appropriate permits are obtained," said the university in a statement.
As a result of the delay, class locations are slated to change for the first half of the semester.
Bradley plans to demolish Jobst Hall once the Convergence Center is complete.
