Bond For Suspect In Fulton County Deputy's Slaying Set at $5 Million

Bond for the man charged in the shooting death of a Fulton County Sheriff’s Deputy is set at $5 million.

42-year-old Nathan Woodring of Avon is charged with one count of first degree murder in the death of Deputy Troy Chisum.

Chisum was responding to an armed standoff at Woodring’s residence when he was fatally shot on Tuesday. The standoff ended Wednesday morning after police spent nearly 19 hours on scene. 

Woodring was appointed a public defender. His next court appearance in Fulton County is on July 11.
